As one of my many talents (I have maybe 2 real talents), thrifting always cheers me up. I didn't expect to have such a good day scrounging through Guelph last weekend but I came up with some amazing pieces. The best ones are easily found at GoodWill (because it's so big), The Salvation Army, and Bibles for Missions - those are my favorites. But this little number was found on the damaged rack in the back of a store called Skirt. You can check out their adorable twitter here! Luckily for me, the damage is a small rip underneath the sash and this baby only cost me $5. It's kinda quirky and original but I think I can make it work, no? :)

Finally Friday! Well, I guess I can't really say that since I don't technically have a "work week" to be celebrating the end of. I've basically just spent my week at home eating muffins. Anyway. I've finally gotten to wear to my booooootiful trench coat from ModCloth that I have been worshipping the beauty of for a few months as it hung in my closet. I'm just hanging out in my living room with some coffee, procrastinating, etc. I'm trying insanely hard not to get sick as my brother has strep (for the second time in a row) and now my boyfriend is also sick. He NEVER gets sick. What is happening?!?! I'm pretty excited for tomorrow night - I'm seeing my girl Jelly's band play downtown Guelph! I can't wait! I haven't seen her in forever (even though she goes to school in Toronto too...) and it'll be fun to let loose at a rock show of course. Happy Friday! And resist urge to sing Rebecca Black all day long.

Follow @caraallover Hey y'all, thought I'd share some pics of my residence's formal dance last saturday. I'm also procrastinating essays, and trying to avoid the inferno that is my bedroom. They haven't changed the heating over to A/C yet in my dorm :( Anyway, I don't have many photos (forgot my cam at home that day!) but I think what I scrounged up it pretty cute. My dress was a beautiful dress I snagged from a contest way back by ModCloth, aka my dream store. And I couldn't have felt prettier :) or taller..but that's because Justin insisted I wasn't too tall for heels. I beg to differ...

Monday Madness

Follow @caraallover Hi there. I don't think I've ever had a case of the Mondays like I did today. Phew. But it's winding down now, and I can look forward to Wednesday being TWENTY-FIVE DEGREES. That's unheard of. Unfortunately, I am more than aware that not only is that unusual for March in Canada but also probably a very bad sign that we are doing something wrong to our ecosystem. Hello global warming! Anyway, I've been crazy busy working on assignments for school but I'm so close to the end that I can almost taste it! Hope there was a better Monday out there today for you :)

I recently splurged on an order from Forever 21, my absolutely favourite place for basics and cute layering pieces because they're super inexpensive and affordable. I picked up this bright green dress that I am determined to wear throughout every season of the year. Think I can do it?

I was feeling bored Saturday night while waiting for my friends to be ready and thought I'd fidget with my new photo-editing software, Analog. It has got some crazy cool features - anywhere from instant photo looks, to imperfect film, to classy black and white. It also has cool frames to put spice up your photo, sort of like the iPhone application Instagram does with it's funky polaroid borders. Check it out - under $10 in the Mac App Store! :)

Spring is almost heeeeeeere! I think I jinxed myself by expecting more dreary winter for so long. Or Mother Nature just got sick of me complaining about the damn weather. I may have yelled to the sky a few times. That said, today was sunny and wonderful! Though, I will admit, I got a little over-enthusiastic and really should have considered throwing some mittens and a scarf into the mix. It isn't THAT warm yet. Today is not a very exciting post fashion-wise (I had a lazy day studying at the library) but I was so excited to share this sunshine day with you. Happy almost-Spring!

Spring in Canada?

Follow @caraallover Spring? What's that? I'm not trusting the groundhog just yet when I've been ploughing through snow all day today. But that's alright, I know of a few people who have yet to put their ski hill passes to full use this season. Today will be a relaxing day since I'm feeling a bit under the weather, but first snuck in a delicious breakfast with my bestie @ McDonald's. Seriously, buttermilk biscuits = revolutionary. Anyway, my mom passed down this super cozy denim shirt to me today, and couldn't pass up the opportunity to share this awesome find with the world. Thanks momma!
