Back Again!

What craziness I've been experiencing in the last week! I feel like a terrible blogger. Enough time to peer into others' lives, but not enough to share my own. Just trying to bring home the bacon; the shrivelled, tiny, over-salted bacon that is the equivalent of my paycheck. Howeever, the upside to working so many hours is I conk out every night and am too tired to wake up til my alarm clock rings. Silver lining, right?

So this happened:

Acceptance letter!!! Finally! Yes, this is super late in the game to be accepted into university I guess they figure I have all the time in the world since I already am one. As if all I do is work with hippie health food, and troll the internet. Oh...

What else... I can see a lot of you are reading and I'm loving it <3 It would mean the world to me to follow on GoogleConnect or Bloglovin as well! That way I can keep you posted with upcoming exciting projects and special secrets :) Ya, it's like a friendship-club here. Secret password is: "donuts." Secret handshake is a high-five.

At the moment I'm just sneezing up a storm after cutting some thrifted on my bed. I know I'm allergic to thrift stores (YOU DON'T CHOOSE WHAT YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH) but maybe rubbing the dust into my sheets was not my best idea.

I'll promise I'll update soon my little cupcakes!

What I Wore: Hanging Out

Hello friends. You've caught me amidst what I like to call my natural habitat. Also known as "chilling." It mostly involves something comfy, and very little effort. I do a lot of this "chilling" as I really have nothing else to do. And good gracious, it was hot yesterday. I wore this sweater because it was like, 5 degrees all morning and raining. But that's Ontario - raining than sunshine. And humidity. Hence the hair. I hope you've got fun things planned for your Saturday - I am shockingly STILL unpacking. And organizing. And throwing things out. As overwhelming and a pain in the ass as spring cleaning is, it's so refreshing and I feel instantly lighter as I drag a garbage bag of old clothes off to donate. Mostly because it leaves room for more clothes, teehee :)

What I Wore: The Sailor Romper

As one of my many talents (I have maybe 2 real talents), thrifting always cheers me up. I didn't expect to have such a good day scrounging through Guelph last weekend but I came up with some amazing pieces. The best ones are easily found at GoodWill (because it's so big), The Salvation Army, and Bibles for Missions - those are my favorites. But this little number was found on the damaged rack in the back of a store called Skirt. You can check out their adorable twitter here! Luckily for me, the damage is a small rip underneath the sash and this baby only cost me $5. It's kinda quirky and original but I think I can make it work, no? :)

Thrift Finds!

I had probably one of the best times thrifting the other day. My bestie and I spent the day gallivanting across Guelph for all our favourite second-hand places. I found a plastic storage shelving unit that I didn't know I needed until I saw it. Isn't that what all great shopping consists of? But really, I needed it. My bedroom is a tornado. Also, there is a store downtown that isn't exactly a thrift store, but sells their other chain's damaged or outdated stock for cheap. I got all the following pieces (except the white skirt, but that was 60% off) for under $5! What? That's too good to be true. I know it is. But wipe the sleep from your eyes because this is real life. Anyway, can't wait to wear these awesome finds!
